Cervical Cancer Vaccination
About
The HPV vaccine is given to adolescent females and males to protect against four major types of human papillomavirus, a major cause of cervical cancer in women. There are three doses of the vaccination that are given at different times: the second dose must be given two months after the first and the third dose six months (or at least 24 weeks) after the first dose.
